A few people have asked me why I’ve been so quiet over the last year. Well, the life of a writer is a tough one for those who are waiting for elevation into the top flight! Basically the last year has seen me heavily involved in commercial writing. ‘Sicilian Channel’ is still progressing and finally I hope to publish in the autumn this year. The break has definitely helped and I’m itching to get back to finishing it. The next novel in line is gestating in my mind and whilst I had slated it to be Malacca Mission I’m changing course and setting the next book in the North Atlantic. I’ve been based in Sicily over the winter and it has been a very windy one. I’m looking forward to sailing back into the Atlantic, but that will be 12 months away.
