I don’t know if you’ve been following this series of films about the quirky Sicilian detective which the BBC has been showing (iPlayer too), but much of it was filmed on the coast near Ragusa. I’m currently researching and writing my next thriller, Sicilian Channel, here. Yesterday I cycled down to Punta Scalambri. It has a tall lighthouse which features in the series. The setting of the village is superb, with lovely beaches.
